It sure didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out this past Saturday Terrel Hunt was the clear-cut favorite to earn his first collegiate start at quarterback this upcoming week. Now, according to Matt Park, the voice of the Orange, it has become official.
As expected, Terrel Hunt will start at QB Saturday. Our interview with Scott Shafer will be posted at http://t.co/LFdBsCbAek soon. #SUvoice

Hunt, a redshirt sophomore, had to wait nearly two games to get a shot to earn the QB1 job and won it Saturday over senior Drew Allen throwing for an impressive 265 yards and three touchdowns in a dominating 54-0 victory over visiting Wagner.
Allen, who struggled in his first two starts, had three possessions in the opening quarter against the Orange's FCS opponent Saturday to turn things around, but failed to help his team earn a first down. The stagnant offense led to head coach Scott Shafer making a change at quarterback, putting in Hunt, who was masterful in the Orange's first win of the season.
After the victory, Shafer hinted that there was still going to be some discussion on who this Saturday's starting quarterback was going to be. Well, as we know now, it was a short discussion.
So, now that this is over. Let the Hunt QB era begin.
