Vote Now for the TNIAAM Athlete of the Week

Men's Soccer keeps winning on the pitch, but can they keep winning when it comes to the TNIAAM vote? Let's find out...

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

No Syracuse Orange fans are going to complain that the fall sports don't want to end the season just yet. Even so, this week we welcome track and field to the voting. So, let's meet this week's candidates:

Ben Polk- M. Soccer

Ben's header off of a corner delivered by last week's TNIAAM Athlete of the Week, Liam Callahan, proved to be the difference in the Orange's 1-0 win over the Boston College Eagles. Syracuse is off to the Final Four for the 1st time in program history and Ben leads the way with 12 goals.

Kadejhia Sellers- W. Track & Field

In her first meet for the Orange, Kadejhia won the 300 meters at the Greg Page Relay meet on Saturday. Her time of 39.3 is not far off of the school record of 38.71 set by Rebecca Robinson last year.

Pascal Bastien- M. Track & Field

Pascal took the triple jump title at the Greg Page Relays with a winning jump of 46' 10". The sophomore bested his top performance of 2015 in taking the victory.

Melissa Piacentini- Ice Hockey

Melissa became the 1st Orange skater to reach 100 career points as she tallied 3 assists in helping the Orange to a win and tie against the Penn State Nittany Lions this weekend. Piacentini is 2nd in scoring this season, and leads the team with a +17 rating.

Briana Day- W. Basketball

Briana had 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots in the Orange's 64-49 win over Stony Brook on Sunday. She made 7 out of 10 shots from the field in her 23 minutes of action. Syracuse will play again on Wednesday when they host Coppin State.

If we missed anyone, as usual, feel free to add them in the comments.
