The Syracuse Orange picked up several positions for a triple overtime win against the Army Black Knights. All five ACC teams remain in the top twenty but after falling to the Penn Quakers, the Duke Blue Devils lose the top spots in both major polls this week. For the second straight week the Notre Dame Fighting Irish had an unimpressive win against a weak opponent, this time struggling against Richmond. The Irish remain in both top tens though.
The Big East has four teams in each ranking. The Hoyas are 3-0 with wins over High Point, Robert Morris and Towson while Marquette is 2-0 having wins over Jacksonville and Detroit. Denver bounced back after a loss to Duke with a dominating win against Cleveland State and the Pioneers remain in the top five. Villanova is the fourth Big East squad with two OT wins against Penn State and Yale and a smothering of a weak Hofstra team.
