On September 23, 2017 in Hunt Valley, MD, former SU lacrosse player Casey Powell will be inducted into the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame. The eldest Powell will be the 27th Syracuse Orange lacrosse player or coach to enter the Hall and will join nine other inductees including three-time National Champion coach Don Zimmerman.

The four-time All-American helped the Orange to the 1995 National Championship and took home Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award twice as the most outstanding lacrosse player in the country. One of the most infamous players to wear the #22 graduated as the all-time points leader although he is now tied for second with his brother Ryan while Mikey Powell sits first. Additionally, Casey is sixth in career assists and fourth in career goals.

Powell retired from Major League Lacrosse in 2016 but took over as the Offensive Coordinator for the Jacksonville Dolphins this season alongside head coach John Galloway.

If you are in the area and want to head over for the ceremony, tickets will be available beginning August 1 at USLacrosse.org/HOF.
