GameThread: Syracuse Orange vs. Towson Tigers, NCAA Lacrosse Quarterfinals

The Syracuse Orange take on the Towson Tigers today at noon at the University of Delaware. The game can be seen on ESPN2.

TODAY’S GAME IS ON ESPN2 NOT THE U.

If you tuned in yesterday, it probably wasn’t for long. Saturday’s quarterfinal matchups turned out to be pretty lopsided. The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Duke Blue Devils 16-11 while the Denver Pioneers destroyed the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 16-4. So, what this means is the winner of Towson/Syracuse will take on OSU.

I threw it out on twitter yesterday, but the last time the ACC was not represented at Championship Weekend was back in 2004 and the last time no current ACC team made it to the final four was in 1978. So if the Orange lose today, it will be fairly historic. Check out the game preview here and have fun today!
