While the ACC Tournament ended in disappointment for the Syracuse Orange, two SU players were named to the ACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship All-Tournament Team. The team features four Notre Dame Fighting Irish players and four North Carolina Tar Heels while just one Duke Blue Devils player made the list.

Jordan Evans piled on seven assists and a goal on Friday night against North Carolina. His six assists are a season high for Evans in 2017 and just two assists shy of his 2016 season total eight assists. In the third period of the UNC game, when Syracuse made its eight point push in a crazy comeback, Evans assisted four of the eight goals and scored one. Evans’ is 33rd in the nation in assists per game with 1.62.

Sergio Salcido had three goals and two assists. He and Nick Mariano each had a trick against North Carolina and he was second on the team in assists Friday. Salcido is ninth in the nation in assists per game. He scored one extra man goal elevating him to 27th in the country in EMO goals per game. Salcido has scored five points four times this year and this was the second time this year the senior has had three goals.

UNC’s Chris Cloutier was named the Tournament’s MVP. What is interesting is that no faceoff man was listed on the team.
