Inside Lacrosse unveiled its Preseason All-Americans which features four Syracuse Orange players. After a breakout 2016, Sergio Salcido is getting the respect he deserves as a first teamer. Ben Williams got nudged out of the first team by Trevor Baptiste of the Denver Pioneers. Coach Desko noted at media day that he is looking for Nick Mellen to be the star on the defense this year and the sophomore lands on the third team. SU does not have any honorable mention All-Americans on this preseason list.
North Carolina and Notre Dame each have six players on the list, while the ACC holds 23 selections. As far as Syracuse goes, there isn’t much to take issue with here, but take a look below.
