Syracuse Lacrosse: Orange End Season in Top 10

With the lacrosse season at an end, the final Cascade/Maverik Media Poll and Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Poll have been released. It should be noted that the final USILA Coaches' Poll was released before the NCAA Tournament.

The North Carolina Tar Heels take the top spot in both polls followed by the Maryland Terrapins, Brown Bears, Loyola Greyhounds, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Towson Tigers. After the top six, the two polls split with Syracuse taking the seventh position in the Media Poll and the eighth spot in the Lacrosse Magazine rankings.

Interestingly enough, not all the votes in the Cascade/Maverik Media Poll went to the National Champion. One voter decided to vote for the Maryland Terrapins. While UMD did beat UNC earlier in the season and it's hard for me to rationalize not voting for the National Champion in the final poll.

Four of five ACC teams remained in the rankings with Virginia being left out of both. Of those four, only Duke was left out of the top ten.
