Syracuse Men's Lacrosse: Orange Stay Steady in the Polls

The three major polls were released on Monday afternoon. The only movement for the Syracuse Orange was in the Coaches' Poll where SU moved up one spot. The biggest drop in all of the polls was Virginia, otherwise, the ACC continues to dominate the top ten of all of the rankings.

In the Nike/USILA Coaches' Poll, SU and UNC both moved up one spot each after Johns Hopkins fell from #5 to #7. The ACC features four of its five teams in the top ten of this week's poll, with Notre Dame taking the top spot from Denver.

The two big movers in the poll were the Virginia Cavaliers and Loyola Greyhounds. After getting pummeled by Loyola 4-11, UVA slid from #8 to #14. The Greyhounds swapped with the Cavs and rose from #14 to #8.

In the Cascade/Maverik Media Poll, the Orange continues to sit at the #5 spot. SU did receive one first place vote however, along with Duke. Notre Dame received 18 first place votes while Denver took in five.

Finally, in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Poll the Orange sit at #5 for another week. Just as in the other polls, Virginia fell out of the top ten and the program now sits at #13. Overall, the top eight continues to stay steady.
