Phil Steele Puts 4 Syracuse Footballers On His Preseason All-ACC Teams

College football's most respected predictor, Phil Steele, released his Preseason All-ACC teams, and listed among the four teams was four Syracuse Orange players.

When it comes to college football preseason predictions Phil Steele is god. His mind is so full of knowledge that college football fans, especially in the south, annually flock to read his stuff and then lash out at it.

Syracuse fans probably will not be doing any lashing out, as Steele posted his Preseason All-Conference teams and, looky here, a few Syracuse football players made the cut; including junior linebacker Dyshawn Davis, who was listed as All-ACC First Team.

Teammate Marquis Spruill made the third team, while Jay Bromley was named to the fourth-team (yeah, he went to four teams!).

On offense, the lone representative was running back Jerome Smith, who made second-team honors.

Though, these predictions could be a bit premature, it does give you an indication of where Syracuse's talent will be this season. After having a very successful season led by an explosive offense, the Orange will need to win with their talented defense.

And, if you're in a "rebuilding" season, that's the way you want it to be. A solid defense can keep a team in games. Now, lets just hope Scott Shafer and company can actually make that happen.
