Syracuse DT John Raymon Out For Season

SU athletics announced Sunday what we all pretty much knew -- DT John Raymon will miss the remainder of the year with a knee injury.

It has been a long journey to Syracuse and onto the playing field for defensive tackle John Raymon and, unfortunately, the junior will face another long journey with surgery and rehab to get back on the field this offseason.

On Sunday, the Syracuse athletic department announced Raymon did indeed suffer an season-ending knee injury that will need surgery in the upcoming weeks.

Before the injury, Raymon compiled two solo tackles in the loss to Georgia Tech. Overall, he had seven tackles, six solo, and 1.5 sacks and a blocked field goal. The junior also provided much needed depth to the defensive line.

For here on out Syracuse will need to move on. Luckily, the Orange will have a full two weeks to figure out who will backup starter Jay Bromley. Expect senior Zian Jones to see more playing time as well as JUCO transfer Trevon Trejo, who has played in only three game this season.
