The 10-4 Syracuse Orange men's basketball team has done enough, so far this season, to earn a bid into the NCAA Tournament, ESPN's Joe Lunardi believes.
In his bracketology update of 2015, Lundardi has the Orange as a No. 11 seed playing in the first round against the Michigan State Spartans in Dayton, OH. In his first bracketology of the season, which came on the first day of regular-season games (Nov. 14), he predicted SU would be a No. 7 seed.
Syracuse hasn't had the best start to the season, as losses to a 8-6 Michigan Wolverines team and no quality wins in the non-conference has the fan base and some national media members doubting its postseason credentials. But, according to the Lunardi, SU has done just enough to be in.
Of course, there's a lot of games to be played from now until Selection Sunday (March 15) and who knows what will happen during Atlantic Coast Conference play. For now, rest easy that the Orange haven't played themselves out of the tourney, and as long as it stays the course–not suffering any terrible losses and earning a solid ACC win here and there–they should be fine.
