Nearly two weeks ago, James Arthur Boeheim dropped a hint that the Syracuse Orange and their old Big East Conference foe, the Villanova Wildcats, were working out a deal to continue playing each other.
On Sunday, SNY's The Juice Online published a story claiming the two schools are close to agreeing to a series.
Villanova is headed to the Dome this coming season as part of a 1-1-1 series with the game in Syracuse, a return meeting the following season at the Wells Fargo Center, and in the 2015-16 season a game at Madison Square Garden that could be part of a college basketball doubleheader.
As the article points out, the addition of 'Nova creates a fantastic basketball schedule featuring: 18 ACC games, including Duke and North Carolina at the Carrier Dome; a non-conference showdown with an improving St. John's squad; the ACC-Big Ten Challenge and the Maui Classic with Arkansas, Cal, Gonzaga, Baylor, Minnesota, Dayton and Chaminade.
Get excited!!
