Get To Know Your Orange Man - #67 Michael Lasker

Lasker is one of the many California Junior College linemen to make the move to Syracuse over the last few years.

Name: Michael Lasker

Position: Offensive Line

Year: Sophomore

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 324

Hometown: Corona, CA

High School: Santiago/Riverside City College

2012 Stats: Some pancakes and not too many sacks allowed, presumably.

2013 Projections: Currently listed as the third right guard on the depth chart, behind Nick Robinson and John Miller. Robinson has an edge in that he's been at SU for a few years now, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Lasker make a push in camp.

How'd He Get Here?: Lasker had an offer from SE Louisiana State and interest from San Diego State, but Syracuse ultimately landed the big Californian. Arizona was also targeting him for the class of 2014.

What'd Scout/Rivals Say?: None of the sites evaluated him.

Money Quote:

"I think I can play right away," Lasker said. "I was talking to (offensive coordinator George McDonald) when he came out to visit. He said if I wasn't starting, I'd have a good chance at being in the rotation."

Tweets of Wonder: Fact.

Links of Wonder: Chris Carlson goes in depth on how Lasker ended up in Orange.

What Does Shafer Think: He offered him a free ride, so I think that's telling.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Like a few of our other JuCo guys, his year of prep work was to help him get better on the field and gain more exposure. Lasker was fully qualified out of high school and had a GPA over 3.0.

Let Us Get a Good Look Atchya: Linemen be shoppin'.
