Syracuse Orange guard Quadir Copeland was honored as the ACC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week yesterday.

Copeland had a career-high 22 points in the Orange’s win over Pitt on Saturday. In addition to the new career-best in points, Copeland added nine rebounds, four assists and three steals in 22 minutes off the bench. He shot 4-of-8 from the field and hit 13 of his 15 free-throw attempts.

It was the fourth straight game where Copeland had double figures in points scored as he continues to show improvement in his second season. He’s now averaging 8.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Orange.

Copeland becomes the first Syracuse men’s basketball player to receive ACC honors in the 23-24 season.
