Since Boston College ended Syracuse’s 25-game winning streak in 2014, the Eagles have beaten the Orange just twice. The Orange-Eagle Trophy lives in CNY.

The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team defended home court against the Boston College Eagles by winning 69-59.

It was a late tip on Wednesday and it wasn’t a night without surprises, both for Syracuse and the sport of college basketball more broadly. The Orange had a couple of changes to the starting lineup, but maybe not the way Syracuse fans had thought. Plus, the Orange surrendered its 19-point lead, only to take the lead back and hold off Boston College for the win. Syracuse is 8-0 at home on the season and will now hit the road for two crucial road games.

We brought on Dom to talk about it.
