Early Signing Day 2024: DL Fadil Diggs signs with Syracuse

The Texas A&M transfer brings an instant impact to the Orange

Syndication: The Knoxville News-Sentinel Saul Young/News Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK

Welcome to National Early Signing Day(s) for the Class of 2024! Can the Syracuse Orange close the deal with their committed players? Do we get any early Christmas presents that we didn’t know about?

We’re going to be updating those signing with the Orange. Next one up is:

Name: Fadil Diggs

Hometown: Camden, NJ aka South Syracuse

Previous School: Texas A&M

Stats: 6’5” 250 pounds

Position: DL

Ratings: Four-stars out of HS. Diggs was ranked in the top 10 of transfer defensive ends this season

Other Offers: Chose Syracuse over a school some of you might have heard about- Alabama? Got a former Cuse coach running things there by the name of Nick Saban?

Twitter/Instagram feed: @fadil_diggs

Player Breakdown: Diggs had four sacks last season for A&M, including two against Alabama. The year before that he had three forced fumbles. With Syracuse rebuilding their defensive line, the athletic Diggs gives the Orange a potent edge rusher who will command attention and free up others for 1 on 1 battles. Like McCord, Syracuse is bringing in a battle-tested veteran who can help the coaching staff implement the winning mentality they wish to instill in Syracuse.

Highlights: A little different here. This is Fadil from last year’s SEC Media Days. Gives you an idea about the person off the field as he was considered one of A&M’s leaders last season.
