Welcome to National Early Signing Day(s) for the Class of 2024! Can the Syracuse Orange close the deal with their committed players? Do we get any early Christmas presents that we didn’t know about?

We’re going to be updating those signing with the Orange. Next one up is:

Name: Elijah Washington

Hometown: Norfolk, Virginia

Previous School: Lake Taylor

Stats: 6-foot-6, 210 pounds

Position: Tight end

Ratings: Washington was a 0.8714 via the Composite Rankings. Per he was a 88 overall and the fourteenth best player out of Virginia this year. He is a consensus 3-star prospect.

Other Offers: Washington was a commit from the Babers tenure. He had offers from Virginia, Rutgers, West Virginia and East Carolina

Player Breakdown: As mentioned, Washington was part of the previous recruiting class that needed to be re-recruited by Coach Fran. After an official visit earlier in December, the tight end re-confirmed that he was all in with the Orange. If Syracuse utilizes a tight end like Coach Fran’s previous team, Georgia, Washington and the incoming folks with that tag should get quite excited. Washington shows in his film the ability to play split as well, so that’s a bonus for those who have grown to enjoy the hybrid tight end of Syracuse past.
