Welcome to National Early Signing Day(s) for the Class of 2024! Can the Syracuse Orange close the deal with their committed players? Do we get any early Christmas presents that we didn’t know about?

We’re going to be updating those signing with the Orange. Next one up is:

Name: Jaylan Hornsby

Hometown: Atco, New Jersey

Previous School: Winslow Township

Stats: 6-foot-2, 195 pounds

Position: Wide receiver

Ratings: Ross was a 0.8892 via the Composite Rankings. Per he was a 89 overall and the ninth best player out of New Jersey this year. He is a consensus 3-star prospect.

Other Offers: Previously committed to Texas A&M, the Jersey native also could have played in Happy Valley, Morgantown, or a number of other places. He had offers from Penn State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Duke, Wisconsin and Michigan among a number of others.

Player Breakdown: After a visit the weekend of December 8, Hornsby quickly made it apparent he wanted to be wearing Orange. Following Elijah Robinson, his primary recruiter at A&M back north towards New Jersey worked out. He’ll fit in as an outside threat on the roster as a possession guy. We have yet to know for sure what the offense will look like, but Hornsby looks to slot in as a solid part of it.
