Welcome to National Early Signing Day(s) for the Class of 2024! Can the Syracuse Orange close the deal with their committed players? Do we get any early Christmas presents that we didn’t know about?

We’re going to be updating those signing with the Orange. Next one up is:

Name: Yasin Willis

Hometown: Montvale, NJ

Previous School: St Joseph Regional High School

Stats: 6'1", 215 lbs.

Position: Running back

Ratings: Three stars on 247Sports, On3 and ESPN; four stars on Rivals.com

Other Offers: Originally committed to Pittsburgh last summer and chose the Panthers over offers from Penn State, Kentucky, South Carolina, Michigan and a laundry list of other schools. He joins Syracuse after flipping his commitment with Pitt a little over a week ago.

Player Breakdown: Willis is a natural athlete across the board, and if you watch the tape, he’s got a nice blend of speed, elusiveness and strength. If he can break an initial tackle or bounce off the outside, Willis can go downhill very fast. That's evidenced by his 1,110-yard rushing season in 2022. Willis’ potential can and should (hopefully) translate to D1 — there’s a reason why so many programs sent offers his way. Also, the coaches hinted during Willis’ recent visit about his role next to LeQuint Allen... who’s excited?

Highlights: Here’s what we found from Willis’ junior year:
