The Syracuse Orange aren’t playing nice off the bat with their new conference mates, the Stanford Cardinal. Instead, Coach Fran and Co. are all out there poaching their recruits. In this case, Emanuel Ross, a four-star wide receiver from Red Bank, New Jersey who had previously been committed to the inferior Block ‘S’, will be wearing Orange next season and playing a little closer to home.

Ross is listed at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds and is coming off an NJSIAA state championship with Red Bank Catholic in his senior season. In addition to Stanford, Ross had offers from Coastal Carolina, Duke, Florida State, Illinois, Penn State, Michigan State, Pitt, Texas A&M, Virginia, Wake, WVU, Wisconsin and several others.

He becomes the top rated commit in the 2024 signing class at this point, edging out tight end Jamie Tremble. Ross is the 18th commit in the class at this point, which looks to continue to grow as the Orange host more recruits on official visits this weekend in advance of National Signing Day on December 21st.
