ACC football squads as ‘Donda’ feature artists

You thought we’d reached the limit on ridiculous comparisons? Not so fast my friends...

You’re probably looking at the title of this piece and wondering what’s happened to the Syracuse Orange fan blog that Sean Keeley lovingly cultivated. We’ve done EPL squads and wrestlers in the past (among other random comparisons). But what could ACC football squads have to do with Kanye West’s newest album?

Well read on and see. Here’s every ACC squad as a feature artist on Ye’s latest record:

Boston College Eagles- Don Tolliver

The fashionable selection right now. Jeff Hafley has a lot of media folks looking to get to BC’s after-party. Are they good enough to have some longevity? We’ll find out but right now there’s a palpable buzz around them.

Clemson Tigers- Lil Baby

If you want a sell-out you get Clemson to come to you. If you want a chart hit in 2021 you get Lil Baby on the track. Lately it seems like they don’t miss which has a lot of people waiting for that first stumble.

Duke Blue Devils- The Weeknd

David Cutcliffe’s just trying to find a way to get his team out of the ACC basement again.

Florida State Seminoles- Jay-Z

No one disputes the legacy but in 2021 there just isn’t the same aura around them. You tell your kids how amazing they were but they look at you with skepticism after seeing what they put out today.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets- Lil Yachty

A little different than the others. People appreciate the quirkiness but want a bit more substance before they elevate them over others on this list.

Louisville Cardinals- Playboy Carti

Both like dressing in black. Both like taking risks and both might miss badly as often as they hit.

Miami Hurricanes- DaBaby

The talent to be on top yet they can’t stop the self-destructive behavior. Is this the year they stay on track and reach the top again or do they continue to crash and burn?

North Carolina Tar Heels- Lil Durk

Waiting right there to take over. Everyone co-signs their talent but they’ve been a step behind that top spot, will they be able to break out of the shadow?

NC State Wolfpack- Travis Scott

One minute they are giving you a classic and the next it’s just a mess. They have definitely benefited from association with bigger names in recent years.

Pittsburgh Panthers- Roddy Rich

Do they realize that finesse is actually the key to their success or will they try and stick with what they think people want them to be?

Syracuse Orange- Westside Gunn

New York’s College Team gets the Buffalo native. Among this list no one’s going to pick them as the standout but they are capable of surprises.

Virginia Cavaliers- Kid Cudi

You know what you’re going to get each time with them. It’s going to be solid and you’ll get what they think is the right formula as neither conforms to the idea of doing what everyone else was doing.

Virginia Tech Hokies- Marilyn Manson

You remember when they were considered the baddest thing around. Now they are fighting to stay relevant in the game and desperation might be creeping in.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons- Jay Electronica

Underrated by critics and fans alike. you aren’t likely to tune in just because they are involved. You might not be able to name a lot of their players or tracks but maybe we should be paying closer attention.

So there you have it and we didn’t even have to live in Mercedes-Benz Stadium to put this together. If you didn’t like it, it’s not our fault the label made us release it before our true artistic vision was accomplished.
