Let’s get you updated on the other Syracuse Orange fall sports currently competing.
Field Hockey
The Orange lost 3-2 in overtime on the road at Rutgers on Friday but turned around on Sunday to beat UConn 5-3. Quirine Comans scored the final two goals in that game to move Syracuse to 3-2 on the season. The team will be back in action next weekend at Boston College and then at home against Albany.

Women’s Soccer
After finding the back of the net more in 2021 the Orange offense struggled playing a scoreless tie against Cornell and then dropping a 3-0 decision at UConn. Syracuse (4-2-1) will travel to play Notre Dame next Sunday.
Men’s Soccer
The men went on the road to Virginia and earned a big 3-1 win over the Cavaliers in their first ACC contest of the season. DeAndre Kerr tallied two goals in the win. Syracuse is now 3-2 on the season and returns home to host Binghamton (Tuesday) and Louisville (Friday).

Volleyball
Syracuse went 2-1 at the Cy-Hawk Series Tournament. The Orange beat Iowa and Ball State with a loss to Iowa State in between. Syracuse is now 8-1 on the season, the program’s best start since 2010. Marina Markova and Polina Shemanova might be the best current Syracuse athlete duo so it’s probably time to pay closer attention to this squad. They will return to the road next week when they travel to Mississippi.
