Boeheim’s Army is back in the Super 16 once more in The Basketball Tournament, this time with four non-Syracuse Orange players leading the way.
The Army had a pair of scares in the first and second round of TBT after escaping Forces of Seoul and Team Heartfire in succession. The Army will tip-off against Always A Brave shortly, a team made up of Bradley alumni.
Boeheim’s Army was led by Keifer Sykes, DJ Kennedy, DeAndre Kane and Tyrese Rice last game, with Eric Devendorf and CJ Fair playing key roles. Chris McCullough came on late, making the final two buckets of the game for the Army. TBD on who emerges tonight, but if last game was any indication, expect the non-Syracuse guys to carry the load and minimal 2-3 zone, if any.
The game tips officially at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The winner will advance to play the Golden Eagles in Dayton on Saturday. For those of you following along, consider this the gamethread.
