Name: Latarie Kinsler
Position: Defensive line
Year: Freshman
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 223 lbs.
Hometown: Pahokee, Fla.
High School: Pahokee
2020 stats: No appearances last season.
2021 projections: Kinsler has been on campus with the Syracuse Orange since January 2020 year but with experienced returners in front of him he’s probably looking to get into the two deep and see action as a situational pass-rusher.
How’d he get here?: Kinsler had committed to Louisville first then reconsidered. He also had offers from Penn State, USC, Miami, Washington, Oregon and LSU, among others.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three stars. All around.
Money quote: Kinsler kept fans guessing right up until his commitment announcement but he was confident in his decision to stay with Syracuse
“It means everything to me to get all the weight off my shoulders and all the other schools and coaches pressuring me,” said Kinsler. “It feels good to sign and finally have this process over with, and I’m happy with the decision I made.”

What movie would Dino recommend for him?: Pahokee is best known for the tradition of chasing rabbits so why not go with “JoJo Rabbit” for this year’s recommendation. An award-winning film which takes an interesting twist on life in Nazi Germany.
Interesting nugget o’interest: Pahokee isn’t a big city but it’s produced a number of NFL players highlighted by Anquan Boldin.
