The commitments keep coming for the Syracuse Orange football program. Latest July’s long line of names added to the class of 2022. It’s three-star defensive end Q’yaeir Price.
After a long process, I want to Thank all my family and friends for being here with me. I also wanna thank my coaches and trainers for getting me to where I am now. With that being said I’ll be committing to Syracuse University. #Commit2Cuse @CoachCamp01 @CoachNJ_Monroe pic.twitter.com/ykJlwx3z3z

Price is a 6-foot-2, 255-pound prospect from Wayne, N.J. and plays at DePaul Catholic, and if you go by 247Sports’ numbers, he’s the highest-rated addition so far for SU’s 2022 class. He has a ton of offers, including West Virginia, Boston College, Maryland, Pitt, Rutgers, Indiana and many others. Price was a recent visit just a couple weeks ago — as has been the case with a lot of the recent commits.
Bringing Price aboard makes it eight commits so far in this class of 2022. Price becomes the third defensive linemen, joining Belizaire Bassette and Malachi Davis, and that could very well be it for the line since Syracuse is in a 3-3-5 scheme. The program also added six in the last recruiting class.
Syracuse has also loaded up on the defensive side of the ball so far, with LeQuint Allen being the only offensive player. While it’s great to see the defensive focus, one would also hope things balance out since this offense has experienced a ton of its own struggles over the last couple seasons.
In any case, welcome aboard, Q’yaeir! Check out some of his tape below.
