The Basketball Tournament (TBT) bracket has been revealed for 2021!

We already knew that Boeheim’s Army, the Syracuse Orange alumni team would be back. And we had a pretty good idea who was playing on this year’s squad, too. Now we know what the road ahead looks like as they try to win the team’s first championship in the event.

For Boeheim’s Army, they’re the third seed in the Illinois region, and will face 14-seed Forces of Seoul in round one. The game will take place on July 24 at noon ET, with whoever takes this game facing the winner of the 6 vs. 11 game — Overlooked (the Murray State alumni team) and HEARTFIRE.

Last year, as you may remember, Boeheim’s Army was the No. 3 seed overall in the event, but fell to No. 22 Sideline Cancer in the quarterfinals. They fell to Team Brotherly Love in round three back in 2019 — the last 64-team tournament. In 2018, they lost in the quarterfinals to Golden Eagles, the Marquette alumni team. Boeheim’s Army’s lone trip to the event’s final weekend was back in 2017, when they narrowly lost Overseas Elite in the semifinals.

This year’s team will look a little different that past years’, but also has a lot of similar players on the roster as we’ve seen before. We have over a month until game one, but we’ll have game coverage and a bracket challenge (with prizes!) going during the event this year. So stay tuned for that.
