Name: Chris Bleich
Position: Offensive Line
Year:
Height:
Weight: lbs
Hometown: Hanover Township, Pa.
High School: Wyoming Valley West
2020 stats: Sat out due to transfer rules. It was a whole thing.
2021 projections: Bleich is supposed to be a top tier talent, as evidenced by his previous recruitment and starting role at Florida prior to his injury. As such, he will be the favorite to start at guard for the Syracuse Orange offensive line, and hopefully become a solidifying veteran transfer, along the lines of Koda Martin in Dino Babers’ earlier ‘Cuse seasons.
How’d he get here?: Bleich picked ‘Cuse over semi-hometown team Pittsburgh, making it the second time Bleich spurred a Pennsylvania school in his recruitment; The offensive lineman had flipped from Penn State to Florida in his original recruitment.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Coming out of high school, ESPN gave him 4 stars, and he got 3 stars from the rest.
Money quote: It’s not about Bleich, but he’s clearly a pretty smart dude and I will always take the opportunity to shade the NCAA.
Maybe they should stop giving themselves pay raises and start doin their job https://t.co/06qJqd4Q6K

Tweets of wonder: We mentioned that Bleich’s transfer was a bit of an ordeal, and when his waiver to play in 2020 was denied, he took it like a professional.
To all the fans that showed endless support of me since I got here I want to say thank you to each and everyone of you for all your words of encouragement to me in these tough times. But sadly, today I was informed my waiver was denied by the NCAA..

What movie would Dino recommend for him?: Did you know David Bleich was a visual effects artist on I am Legend?. Neither did I. But I bet Dino does.
Interesting nugget o’interest: Don’t know about Wyoming Valley? It’s outside some small PA town named Scranton. Wonder if kids from that area have done well at ‘Cuse...
Let’s get a look at ya: Here’s Bleich talking about how wrestling helped his offensive line play.
