The Syracuse Orange rowing squads competed in their respective championship races over the weekend and both found success throughout multiple boats. The Syracuse women finished a program-best 10th at the NCAA Championships in Florida which was won by the Texas Longhorns.
Syracuse’s second varsity eight and varsity four boats finished 11th in their classifications while the Orange varsity eight boat was 12th. All three boats reached the A/B semifinals and helped Syracuse to best the 12th-place finish by the 2002 squad.

The Syracuse men were at the IRA Regatta in New Jersey competing for their national championship. All three Orange boats advanced to their respective Grand Finals. The varsity eight led the way with a 4th place finish behind Washington, California and Dartmouth. Syracuse’s second varsity eight took 5th and the varsity four boat finished 7th. This is the first time in over 20 years that Syracuse has advanced each boat to their division’s Grand Final, which were all won by the Washington Huskies.
What a team effort. 3 Grand Finals.
