Even though the Syracuse Orange women’s soccer team has had a rough time in the ACC the Orange have three former players who are currently pursuing pro careers. Last night we caught up with defender Erin Simon who is a member of the new Racing Louisville FC team in the National Women’s Soccer League.

This is Erin’s second NWSL stint as she started with the Sky Blue FC before heading over to England where she played for the West Ham United women’s squad. Last year Erin returned to NWSL where she was a member of the Challenge Cup champion Houston Dash.

Steve and I got to ask Erin about a variety of topics including her time at Syracuse, playing in a FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium and the challenges of playing in the NWSL bubble last year. We also heard about the excitement in Louisville for the Racing Louisville FC’s inaugural season.

Here’s the video from last night’s conversation:

You can follow Erin and Racing Louisville FC this season as NWSL games will stream online through Paramount+. Thanks again to Erin for taking the time to talk with us and we wish her good luck this season.
