Carr comes to ‘Cuse with a long list of credentials, including 2021 All-Big 12 Honorable Mention, 2019 Big 12 All-Freshman Team, 2019 Waco Tribune Big 12 All-Freshman Team, two-time USBWA National Freshman of the Week, and two-time Big 12 Freshman of the Week.
Last season, Carr started in 24 games for the Wildcats and averaged 15.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest in 32.2 minutes. She shot 38.8% from the field, 35% from behind the arc, and 77.5% from the free throw line.
In her first two years at K-State, Carr started in almost every contest and averaged 9.8 points in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. She is just 28 points shy of 1,000 total career points. In the Wildcat record book, Carr ranks in the top-10 in career 3-pt field goals made (10th/166) and 3-point field goal attempts (10th/546). The 6’1” guard ranks second in program history for career 3-point field goals made by a player 6’0” or taller.
At Manhattan High School (Kansas), Carr was named to the 2018 Naismith Girls High School Player of the Year Trophy Midseason Watch List, 2018 McDonald’s All-America Watch List, 2018 American Family Insurance All-USA Kansas Girls Basketball First Team, was a 2018 Gatorade Player of the Year finalist (Kansas), and a 2018 Miss Kansas Basketball finalist. She was ranked the No. 20 overall player in the nation by Prospects Nation and No. 22 overall by ESPN.
Fun Fact: Carr’s father, Chris, is an assistant coach with K-State women’s basketball and played six seasons in the NBA. He finished second in the 1997 All-Star Saturday Night Slam Dunk Contest.
