The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team has added a new forward to its 2021-22 roster. Eboni Walker will transfer from Arizona State University to Syracuse next season.
Last season, Walker contributed 7.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. She started in nine of the team’s 22 games and shot 41.8% from the field. In her freshman season, Walker averaged 6.5 points per contest off 51.9% shooting. She also added 4.8 rebounds per game.
Walker attended Centennial High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was named the 2019 Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year after leading her team to a 31-1 record and a fifth-straight State Championship. Walker averaged 11.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.1 steals in her senior season and was named a two-time First Team All-State selection. Walker was nominated for the McDonald’s All-American Game and was rated as the No. 43 recruit in the Class of 2019 by ESPN.
Early this year, The State Press did a personal profile on Walker and the impact of her father’s death on her basketball career. You can read the full story here.
