The Syracuse Orange football team has already secured its second commitment of the 2022 recruiting class. On Friday, three-star running back LeQuint Allen announced his pledge to Dino Babers’s squad.

Allen’s a three-star running back from Millville, N.J. who stands at 6-feet tall and 180 pounds right now. On 247Sports, he’s ranked among the top 100 running backs in the 2022 class and just outside the top 30 prospects in New Jersey. His other offers came from Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Temple, Virginia and West Virginia — not a bad group at all.
So that makes two commitments now already for this class, as Allen joins defensive back Cornell Perry. Both players come in at positions of need. We know we need more DBs, but Syracuse could also be short on running backs in the near future. Abdul Adams and Jarveon Howard could both be done after this year, if they so choose. Sean Tucker and Cooper Lutz are the only other experienced backs on the roster. Freshman Josh Hough also joins the fray this year.
Welcome aboard, LeQuint! You can check out his highlights below.
