No. 1-seed UConn dominated No. 16-seed High Point in the Round of 64, 102-59. Freshman standout Paige Bueckers led the Huskies with 24 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in the win.
Here is my preview of UConn in the ‘River Walk Region Preview’:
UConn needs no introduction. The Huskies are competing in their 32nd-straight NCAA Tournament and have advanced to the Final Four in the last 12 years. UConn has won 11 National Championships, including four in a row from 2013-2016. Their 2016 Title, which is the team’s most recent win, was an 82-51 victory over Syracuse.
UConn leads the all-time series versus Syracuse, 39-12. The last time the Huskies and the Orange met was in 2017, where UConn defeated ‘Cuse 94-64 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
