The Syracuse Orange field hockey team was selected as an at-large team for the NCAA Field Hockey Tournament. Syracuse will travel to College Park, Maryland to face the 4th-seed Penn State Nittany Lions on Friday with a game time of Noon. The winner of that game will advance to face the winner of Maryland and Virginia.

Syracuse was knocked out of the ACC Tournament 4-1 by the UNC Tar Heels who went on to defeat Virginia for their 5th straight ACC Championship. Syracuse had two players on the ACC All-Tournament Team: Carolin Hoffman and Eefke Van Den Nieuwenhof

UNC, Syracuse, Louisville and Virginia will represent the ACC in the NCAA Tournament. The Big Ten has six of the 18 teams in the field including the top four seeds. This year’s Final Four will be in Ann Arbor, Michigan which was the site of the Orange’s 2015 National Championship. We’ll see if this team can make another Final Four run this month.
