The Syracuse Orange will be in the creamsicle uniform set this weekend when they face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. As announced on Twitter on Friday, Syracuse is wearing white helmets, orange jerseys and white pants for the game.

Syracuse hasn’t worn this combination much since 2019, last tossing them on in a loss to Duke last season. They also wore them in a win over Western Michigan at the Dome back in 2019. But that’s it for this old-school Buccaneers style combo otherwise.
Since the start of 2019, SU is (perhaps surprisingly) 3-4 in the white helmets, just 2-4 in the orange jerseys, and 2-5 in the white pants. They’ve won two in the white helmets this year (Albany and Ohio) and the only other orange jersey game vs. Albany. The white pants are also 1-0 this year, after the team donned all-white against the Bobcats in the opener.
For their part, Wake Forest will be wearing gold helmets, white jerseys and gold pants. That’s quite a bit of white on the field, admittedly. But should be a stark contrast between the teams from a jersey perspective at least.
