Whether or not the Syracuse Orange see success on Saturdays, you can be guaranteed there will be Orange on Sundays as the program has several players on NFL rosters this season contributing to their respective teams. Each week, we’ll recap the alumni action in one place in case you couldn’t flip through the channels fast enough.
Chandler Jones - Arizona Cardinals
Jones was neutralized by the Los Angelas Rams, only registering one QB Hit in the Cardinals’ 37-20 win over the Los Angelas Rams. Jones played 61 snaps (91%) so even with the lack of production, he’s still a key member of the Arizona defense.
Justin Pugh - Arizona Cardinals
Pugh recovered from his injury sustained against the Jaguars well enough to come out and play 100% of the offensive snaps for the Cards.
Riley Dixon - New York Giants
The former Heisman snub punted 4 times in the New York victory over the New Orleans Saints. His longest punt of the day went 51 yards, and another pinned the Saints inside their own 20.
Zaire Franklin - Indianapolis Colts
Franklin compiled 3 total tackles (1 solo, 2 assisted) in the Colts’ win over the Dolphins. Franklin did most of that damage on special teams (21 snaps) but did get 8 defensive snaps (15%) as well.
Andre Cisco - Jacksonville Jaguars
Cisco was relegated to special teams work exclusively for the second straight week as the Jags lost Thursday night to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Alton Robinson - Seattle Seahawks
Robinson played 44 Snaps (58%) in the win over the San Fransisco 49ers. He racked up three combined tackles, as the Seahawks rotated their defensive line pretty aggressively; No defensive lineman played more than 68% of the team’s defensive snaps.
Trill Williams - Miami Dolphins
Trill was inactive in Miami’s game against Indianapolis.
Injured Reserved: Ifeatu Melifonwu - Detroit Lions
Practice Squad Players: Koda Martin - Arizona Cardinals, Chris Slayton - Atlanta Falcons, Trishton Jackson - Minnesota Vikings,
