Despite being in year three of this uniform set, the Syracuse Orange apparently still have some combinations left to use. And based on Thursday’s customary uniform tweet, it appears they’ll be utilizing one against the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday.

It’s white helmets, white jerseys and orange pants for Syracuse — a first since they first introduced this Nike set in 2019.
On the season, SU’s 2-1 wearing the white helmets, 1-1 in white jerseys and 2-3 in orange pants. Going back to 2019, Syracuse is 3-5 in the white helmets, 3-9 in the white jerseys and 6-13 in the orange pants. The last white helmet win came against Albany this year — the last time ‘Cuse wore a new combination.
They had the white jerseys on vs. Ohio in the opener, but also in the loss against Florida State. Obviously the orange pants have been worn quite a bit, including two of the last three losses (against Florida State and Clemson). The last win wearing them was against Liberty.
So how do we feel about this new look? Seems like they’re trying to get creative this year, at least, so if we’re not busting out throwbacks, we’ll at least take variation, I guess.
