Syracuse releases depth chart for Friday night matchup against Clemson

The more they change, the more they stay the same.

Here we are again, another Monday Tuesday and another depth chart. This time outlining how the Syracuse Orange plan on attacking the Clemson Tigers coming up on Friday, October 15th in the Carrier Dome Stadium.

Devaughn Cooper gets some time on the number two line, gaining the OR designation with Courtney Jackson in the slot after a nice reception on the weekend. He jumped Trebor Pena, but if the stats from the weekend are to be believed, they’re all going to be getting time. Without Taj Harris, the targets were spread much more evenly between Jackson (6), Anthony Queeley (5), Sharod Johnson (4) and Cooper (4), with Pena, Damien Alford and Luke Benson all getting looks as well.

Terry Lockett gains the OR tag at DT2. We saw Lockett get some run this weekend at the nose, garnering 30 snaps on the day, splitting with McKinley Williams. In the ongoing absence of Curtis Harper, this is the way.

Of note, the offensive line may not have many shakeups on paper, but in reality they have over the past week. Kalan Ellis, the true freshman got the start over Chris Bleich, out for likely injury. Airon Servais went down in the middle of the Orange’s loss to Wake Forest this past week, being spelled by Josh Ilaoa. He attempted to re-enter the game at one point, to no avail. Matthew Bergeron also looked to pick up a knock in the game. Darius Tisdale was still noted as out with a walking boot on his leg and as such has had the OR removed from his line at RG2.
