Despite being one of the top running backs in college football all season, the Syracuse Orange’s Sean Tucker had yet to receive an ACC weekly honor. That streak ended after week six’s action, however, as the man was finally acknowledged by the conference.

Despite Syracuse’s loss to Wake Forest, Tucker was instrumental in keeping them around vs. the Demon Deacons. He had 26 carries for 153 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, and tacked on three receptions for 29 yards and the game-tying touchdown grab with just 21 seconds to go in regulation.
The game was Tucker’s fourth straight 100-yard effort, and his fifth of the season. That gives him eight on his career already, putting him among pretty elite company in Syracuse history.
On the year, Tucker’s second in the country in rushing yards, with 791 (Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker III leads with 913). He’s tied for fourth in rushing touchdowns with nine, but is second by touchdowns from scrimmage with 11 on the year. He also leads the country in yards from scrimmage, with 995 so far — 15 more than Duke’s Mateo Durant, who sits in second place.
Needless to say, we are pleased with his performance. Glad to see the ACC is as well.
Now give the man 44.
