The 2020-21 Fake Nunes Equation of Tumult (#FNET)
You wanted something more ridiculous than RPI and the NCAA gave you NET. We give you more ridiculousness so we’re bringing back a revised FNET metric.
Head Coach Bench Attire and Mask:
Jeff Capel should be better at this. He’s younger than a lot of the other ACC head coaches and you’d expect him to make this casual transition. On the plus side he went dark pants but the sneakers don’t match and the chinstrap mask isn’t a strong look.
Jim Boeheim has finally settled on the 1⁄4 zip and clear mask combination but he still doesn’t seem all that comfortable on the sidelines. Guess it’s hard to change after forty years.
NBA 2K Playability:
Justin Champagnie would be a 2K monster but not enough to offset the shooting of Buddy Boeheim and dunks from Quincy Guerrier
Basketball Program Hashtag:
None vs #ZooEra
It’s good that Pitt mixes it up a bit here with a nod to the Oakland Zoo.
ACC Social Media Favorites:
Syracuse’s long pause has surely made media members long for Marek Dolezaj taking a charge
Jacket Mask Toss Meter
7.5/10 Jim’s had enough of these lay-offs. He knows he caught a break getting the Panthers instead of Florida State but he’s going to have no patience for sloppy play. If Pitt somehow keeps it close into the final ten minutes that mask is going to be in jeopardy.
After 18 days without a game the Orange come out a little over-zealous and force some difficult shots. The rhythm is further thrown off by the return of Bourama Sidibe and Pitt is able to stay close until the second half. Syracuse has too much inside and is able to pull away for a comfortable win and maintain first place in the ACC
