After a stellar performance on Sunday, Syracuse Orange women’s basketball player Priscilla Williams has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Week.
Williams went 9-9 from the field (6-6 from three) to lead all scorers with a career-high of 26 points in Sunday’s win over Miami.
Williams is the second player in school history to shoot 100 percent from three (Julie McBride, 2002-03). She is also the only player in the conference with a perfect mark from three with at least five attempts in a game.
The freshman currently leads the ACC and ranks ninth in the nation in three-point field goal percentage, sinking 17 of her 34 attempts (.500).
The last time an Orange player won conference Freshman of the Week was Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi in December 2018.
A perfect shooting performance has named Priscilla Williams our Freshman of the the Week!
