The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team’s schedule is shifting once again — this time, doing things to put games back ON the schedule, though.
As announced on Friday, Syracuse will host the Boston College Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 13. And then will face off with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the Dome the following Saturday, Feb. 20.

The Notre Dame game is the rescheduled matchup from Dec. 22, which was pushed due to Syracuse’s pause following the Buffalo game. Meanwhile, the Boston College game is filling the space left on the schedule after the Pitt home date moved up to last Wednesday. BC was originally set to play the Orange the following Saturday (Feb. 20, when the Irish are now slated for).
So with those changes in mind, the new hoops slate for the rest of the year looks like this:
- Jan. 16: at Pittsburgh
- Jan. 19: vs. Miami
- Jan. 23: vs. Virginia Tech
- Jan. 25: at Virginia
- Jan. 31: vs. NC State
- Feb. 3: vs. Louisville
- Feb. 6: at Clemson
- Feb. 9: at NC State
- Feb. 13: vs. Boston College
- Feb. 17: at Louisville
- Feb. 20: vs. Notre Dame
- Feb. 22: at Duke
- Feb. 27: at Georgia Tech
- Mar. 3: vs. North Carolina
As noted when the season started, there’s very little wiggle room in the schedule above and it seems unlikely that zero changes are required the rest of the way. We’ll have to cross our fingers, though. And hopefully teams can stay safe for the remainder of the year... and if not, hopefully the powers that be opt for a different approach to playing out this schedule (bubble, full season postponement or something else).
