Another week of uncertainty is ahead. But what’s not uncertain is that Syracuse Orange games will be on television — even if they’re not new ones.
If you want to watch any of said Syracuse games, we provide those details below, all courtesy of the ACC Network. This week is all football, and all from last season. So you’re getting mixed returns from an enjoyment standpoint. Probably best to skip Sunday morning’s, in particular.
(all times ET)
Tuesday, August 18
Syracuse football vs. Western Michigan (2019), midnight — ACC Network
Will we ever tire of watching Tommy DeVito surprisingly run all over the Broncos, while Syracuse makes us nervous for one of four quarters? Probably. But guess that time’s not just yet.
Thursday, August 20
Syracuse football vs. Duke (2019), midnight — ACC Network
And then there’s this game, which was a lot less stressful of an endeavor. A reeling Orange team headed down to Durham last November, and jumped out to a 14-0 lead. They led just 14-6 at half, but then it was off to the races from there. Syracuse reeled off 35 unanswered, started by an Andre Cisco pick-six. This game was only entertaining in the sense that SU ran through Duke’s defense and we’re always glad to see the Orange do good things.
Sunday, August 23
Syracuse football vs. Clemson (2019), 7 a.m. — ACC Network
And this is the one you don’t need or want a rewatch on. ‘Cuse looked game for another upset — or at least a close game — down just 17-6 at half. They even had a shot to make it a real contest in the third quarter. But they didn’t, and the wheels came off pretty quickly from there in this 41-6 blowout.
