Name: Geoff Cantin-Arku
Position: Linebacker
Year: Sophomore
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 230
Hometown: Lévis, Que.
High School: Cégep Garneau
2019 stats: Fixture on special teams in the 2019 season.
2020 projections: Cantin-Arku took the spring by storm and is listed as the starting Mike linebacker this season. He looks to have pushed ahead of incumbent Mikel Jones, who played a good bit last season. This is a big move for the sophomore and he looks to take advantage of the new defensive scheme under Tony White.
How’d he get here?: Geoff too advantage and impressed coaches at an Orange football camp, quickly receiving an offer from the staff. Much like most Canadian players, we were the only one noted as in on him.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Consensus three stars.
Money quote: As he succinctly explained to 247Sports after committing —
“I felt home.”

What movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?: How does the comedy Wedding Crashers from 2005 sound? It starred Geoff Stult as Brad in the Owen Wilson/Vince Vaughn joint about the pair sneaking into weddings and the shenanigans that follow. You’ve seen it numerous times.
Interesting nugget o’ interest: Sticking with the fact that Geoff is the second Cegep Garneau player to put on the Orange for Syracuse, joining David Bouchard (2007).
