2020 projections: Will likely enter preseason camp in a battle with Joey Kelly to serve as Aaron Bolinsky’s back-up at the long-snapper position.

How’d he get here?: Chose the Syracuse Orange as a preferred walk-on due to a connection with Dino Babers’ brother Tracy.

What’d recruiting sites say?: He was ranked the #59 long snapper in the country by Kohl’s Kicking Camp

Money quote: Based on his profile at Kohl’s it seems like Syracuse might have found another special teams contributor through their walk-on recruitment

Midkiff has great power on his snaps and was able to show consistent location during the like aspect of camp. He finished the charting session with an average snap time of .68 seconds and will see his snapping improve when he keeps his motion under control.
