Frank Anselem, a 6-foot-10 center out of Napa (Calif.), has committed to Syracuse. Initially a member of the 2021 class, Anselem reclassified and moved up to 2020. He picked the Orange over Georgia, New Mexico and San Diego State.
It’s been an incredibly long journey but at this point, I choose to further my education as well as basketball career at SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY. Thanks to everyone who has been a part of my life and supported me thus far. Looking forward to what the future holds. #goorange

Anselem was recruited by Adrian Autry and ran with the Georgia Stars on the AAU circuit. He’s originally from Atlanta, Ga. In an interview with Pat Lawless, Anselem stated that Syracuse had recruited him the longest out of any other school and spoke highly of his relationship with Autry.
Anselem is ranked No. 142 in the 2020 class according to 247 Sports. He will join Kadary Richmond (No. 82) and Woody Newton (No. 131) in Syracuse’s 2020 recruiting class. His pledge gives Jim Boeheim another option at center alongside Bourama Sidibe, Jesse Edwards and John Bol Ajak.
Sidibe is a rising senior while Edwards will be a sophomore. Bol Ajak redshirted last season.
