2020 projections: You never know when you could use another interior lineman, and Kosciol was slated as the Orange’s backup center behind Carlos Vettorello in March’s depth chart.

How’d he get here?: As mentioned, he walked on last spring.

What’d recruiting sites say?: Nada. Their loss.

Money quote: Kosciol got a ringing endorsement from former ‘Cuse guard Evan Adams.

“Everybody sleeps on Josh because of his size. He has a huge heart. He plays like he has a chip on his shoulder, too. I think he’s going to be something else in his own right.”

Tweets of wonder: Last season was not Josh’s first time suiting up at the Dome. Being from (nearby enough) Monroe County, he also played there with his high school team.

What movie would Dino recommend for him?: Everyone likes “Frozen,” right? And if you don’t, you at least noticed the sentient snowman Olaf played entertainingly by Josh Gad. Also, Syracuse is cold and so is most of this movie. It works, trust me.

Interesting nugget o’interest: Kosciol was a two-sport athlete back in high school, playing attack for three seasons. That sounds like an absolutely terrifying (and effective) freight train.
