We were hoping for multiple Syracuse Orange football players to be selected in the 2020 NFL Draft, and while we don’t know if that’ll happen yet, we’re off to a good start.
With the 148th pick, the Seattle Seahawks selected Alton Robinson in the 5th round of the draft.

In three years at Syracuse, Robinson collected 32.5 TFLs (19.5 sacks), 115 tackles, 26 QB hurries, five pass break-ups and five forced fumbles. Though his senior season saw a dip in production, watching the games showed how that wasn’t entirely on him. Robinson putting in a strong performance at both the Senior Bowl and the Scouting Combine helped alleviate at least some of the potential concerns teams may have had, however.
Congrats to Alton! And looking forward to seeing him suiting up on Sundays.
