As expected, no Syracuse Orange players were selected on day one of the 2020 NFL Draft. But what about day two?
Though it seems more likely Alton Robinson goes in the fourth round, there’s a distinct possibility he moves up to round three, depending on team needs. Everyone else — Trishton Jackson, Kendall Coleman, Sterling Hofrichter — seems almost assured to be a Saturday pick in rounds four through seven.
Rounds two and three get started at 7 p.m. ET (one hour earlier than last night), with a unique broadcast on ABC, plus a simulcast on ESPN/NFL Network. For the streamers among us, you can also check out WatchESPN and the NFL mobile app (or YouTube TV or Sling TV or fuboTV).
Given the tech constraints of this year’s draft, it does seem like fewer trades are happening, but teams are also a bit more willing to roll the dice. Round one saw at least a couple reaches. And as the talent differential shrinks while the draft rolls on, that seems likely to happen more and more.
Do we think the randomness winds up benefiting Robinson and other players? Will Alton get selected tonight? Join us for rounds two and three in the comments, since you don’t have much else going on anyway.
